Unity Tactical Hot Button MLOK

Unity Tactical Hot Button MLOK is a revolutionary control device for weapon mounted electronic accessories. Developed out of a need to conserve rail estate, improve actuation ergonomics, and mechanically integrate with weapon fore ends, Hot Button has successfully reinvented how you interface with your lights and lasers.

The first major innovation is the button angle. Legacy remote tape switches feature a flat pad that forces users to strain their thumbs in an unnatural angle to apply consistent pressure to activate a momentary function. Hot Button presents the activation button at a 45 degree angle for a more comfortable and rapid press. This is especially important when activating the button under pressure.

A raised, crenelated bezel protects the button from accidental actuation. This also provides a tactile index point for the user’s thumb. Because the Hot Button is angled, the overall footprint is much smaller than factory OEM pressure pads. Not only does this clean up rails on traditional weapons, but it greatly increases the accessory layout options on smaller SMG and PDW’s. If that weren’t enough, we have designed two separate versions of Hot Button that will attach directly to either M1913 Picatinny or MLOK rail interface. Both rail systems are approved and standardized by the US Department of Defense for use on issued weapons.

Hot Button secures to these rails with hardware, eliminating the need for Velcro, 100mph Tape, or Zip Ties. This secure attachment method ensures your switches stay on the gun (wherever its located) regardless of battlefield abuse. Hot Button is available for standard Surefire tail caps, Streamlight Pro-Tac models, and standard Crane-Style laser ports (found in B.E. Meyers, Holosun, Insight/L-3, Steiner, and Wilcox products).

The Hot Button is just amazing. Best remote Switch available for any system. The machining is simply outstanding. You can tell Unity spent a lot of time refining it to make it perfect!

Initially, I wanted the M1913 rail version so that it can sit on the 12 o’clock position for ambidexterity. Even though I’m not LEO or active duty of any kind, I still wanted to be able to use rifles and gears ambidextrously. I fumbled my way around the button a lot, especially with my left hand. Then I figured out that I can mount it on the 6 o’clock M-Lok slot and get away with using just my knuckles, which is even better, because the entire Picatinny section is now free and open for anything else, quite literally.

The Hot Button is extremely helpful in reducing weight, freeing up space, and keeping the weapon well organized and decluttered. The fact that it was aluminum also guarantees much better endurance down the line. I have bashed it against walls and barricades several times, and not even the finish is scratched, which is very telling. Of course, greedy as I am, I still wish it could be further trimmed down, but then again, that would be me being greedy. Again, using just the knuckles on your fingers is enough to work this thing, while allowing you to C-clamp the fore-end.

Overall, highly recommended, be it the M-Lok, or the Pic rail. But beware, it calls for some creativity to work with this product. Otherwise, A+.
