It was developed to be a color digital night vision camera in response to market demand for a low-cost versatile night vision optic that still performed at a high end level. Recoil Rating
The SiOnyx Aurora and the new Aurora Pro have a recoil rating to support an M4 or AR15 style rifle up to 4,000 rounds with .223 or 5.56 ammunition.
Water Resistant
Aurora is splash, water, and dust resistant and is tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67. Aurora is water resistant to 3 feet for 30 minutes.
