Surefire PROCOMP Muzzle Brake

The Surefire PROCOMP muzzle brake is available in both 5.56mm and 7.62mm. The 5.56 fits M4 and M16 weapons and variants with ½-28 muzzle threads, while the 7.62mm fits AR 10 or LR 308 rifles and variants with 5/8-24 muzzle thread. It greatly reduces both recoil impulse and has neutral porting so brake loads bi pod legs evenly to keep you on target for faster shot to shot recovery. It has a patented Impulse Diffusion designed minimized side blast and rear directed concussion effects.

The muzzle break is made from US mill certified steel bar stock, including high precision cut threads for optimum thread interface. The PROCOMP has a black Melonite finish that gives maximum protection under the worst settings.

The PROCOMP has a blind pilot hot at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions for fine tuning of recoil characteristics for individual shooting styles or ammunition characteristics. It also has a blind pilot hole at the 6 o’clock position to enable indexing the adapter at bottom dead center, and to pin and weld on short barreled rifles. The only thing that is required is a basic hand drill and appropriate drill bits.
