The Geissele URG-I Airborne Charging Handle (ACH) was originally developed at the request of an elite organization renowned for its expertise in aerial insertion operations. Built to meet the demands of professional end users, the ACH has since been adopted by USASOC and thoroughly field tested in some of the harshest operating environments around the world. The updated USASOC ACH now features a roll marked “Geissele Automatics” and the ACH’s NSN number, reducing the amount of laser engraving and minimizing its overall visual signature.

Unchanged are the ACH’s lower profile levers, specifically designed to reduce the chances of snagging on gear or equipment during movement and deployment. The handling surfaces are aggressively checkered, providing a secure and confident grip even while wearing gloves or operating in adverse weather conditions. The Geissele URG-I Airborne Charging Handles ambidextrous design allows for fast and reliable manipulation from either side of the weapon system.

The Geissele USASOC ACH also incorporates a gas mitigating fence at the rear of the charging handle, helping redirect gas blowback away from the shooter when running short barreled or suppressed weapon systems. Precision 3D machined from a solid block of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum, the ACH is finished in a durable Type 3 Hardcoat anodizing for exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. Lightweight yet rugged, the USASOC ACH weighs just 1.42 oz., making it an excellent upgrade for duty, defensive, or hard-use rifle builds.
