Holosun ARO-EVO-RD2 Advanced Rifle Optic

The Holosun ARO-EVO-RD2 Advanced Rifle Optic Evolved features a 26mm housing design that offers a larger sight picture providing the user with more information for improved performance shooting along with Holosun’s new lower 1/3 co-witness pedestal mount.The Holosun ARO-EVO-RD2’s newly designed housing mates perfectly with Holosun’s magnifier series and included a new lens cap and anti-reflection device system.

Additionally, the Holosun ARO-EVO-RD2 is available with Holosun’s Special Purpose Reticle (SPR) which is a bullet drop compensating and ranging reticle which balances the performance of a 2 MOA dot with accuracy at intermediate distances. The Holosun ARO-EVO-RD2 is available with Special Purpose Reticle (SPR) or 2 MOA dot in red, green or gold.

Solar Failsafe

Solar Failsafe Technology is one of many innovations featured on solar-equipped Holosun optics. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails you always have a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a super capacitor, it is possible to run the optic, indefinitely, in daytime and night conditions, by maintaining a charge through the Solar Failsafe System all without a battery.

Shake Awake

Shake Awake Technology is a standard feature on all current model Holosun optics and serves to extend battery life by deactivating the optic’s LED while not in use. A highly sensitive motion sensor works to detect motion keeping the LED powered on during use. This allows for duty or concealed carry with seamless operation throughout your day or shift.

At the end of your day or shift when your firearm is stored, the motion sensor will detect a motionlessness state and after 10 minutes (default setting) Shake Awake Technology powers the LED off until motion is again detected. Shake Awake offers settings from 10 minutes to 12 hours depending on the model and can be deactivated altogether if preferred. The slightest touch of the optic instantly reactivates the LED so your Holosun optic is ready when needed.

Holosun’s use of Grade 5 Titanium in certain Elite category optics and laser devices results in unparalleled strength and durability. Holosun Grade 5 Titanium has more than double the tensile strength and has five-times the fatigue strength of 7075 Aluminum. Grade 5 Titanium is also able to withstand the corrosiveness of seawater making Holosun Titanium model optics and lasers suitable for use in maritime environments.
