The iRay RICO MICRO PICTAIL 2 Mounting Shoe provides a versatile mounting solution for compatible RICO MICRO thermal optics. Combining a standard helmet-mount dovetail interface with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail connection, this innovative system allows users to transition between helmet-mounted and weapon-mounted configurations while maintaining secure attachment and flexible positioning.
Dual Helmet and Picatinny Mounting
The iRay RICO MICRO PICTAIL 2 Mounting Shoe features a dovetail interface compatible with standard helmet mounting hardware from Wilcox, KVC, and other manufacturers. Its integrated Picatinny rail section includes a dedicated slot designed to interface with the American Defense Manufacturing (ADM) MQD mount.
Adjustable Mounting Positions
When paired with the ADM MQD mount, the PICTAIL 2 provides adjustable positioning on standard Picatinny rails. In standalone optic mode, the mounting system offers over 4.5 inches of rear offset. Reversing the configuration for clip-on use reduces rear offset to approximately 1.5 inches.
This compact arrangement requires only four forward rail slots, making it suitable for platforms with limited mounting space.
