Leica Geovid Max 10×42 Applied Ballistics Laser Rangefinding Binoculars

The Leica Geovid Max 10×42 Applied Ballistics Laser Rangefinding Binoculars (40831) combine premium optical performance, advanced laser ranging, and integrated ballistic calculations into a complete field system for hunting and long-range shooting. Designed for hunters and shooters who demand accurate information in demanding conditions, the Geovid Max brings together high-transmission optics, a next-generation laser rangefinder, environmental sensors, and onboard Applied Ballistics technology in one durable, connected platform.

The 10×42 optical system delivers 91% light transmission, a 342-foot field of view at 1,000 yards, and 16mm of eye relief. Its Perger-Porro prism system, HDC multilayer coating, and AquaDura coating help provide clear viewing and reliable performance in changing conditions. The magnesium, nitrogen-filled housing is waterproof to a depth of 16 feet, while the internal focusing system and adjustable interpupillary distance of 56–74mm support comfortable use in the field.

The integrated laser rangefinder provides fast, accurate distance measurements, ranging reflective targets out to 8,200 yards, trees to 4,600 yards, and deer-sized targets to 1,600 yards. The system measures in as little as 0.3 seconds and includes selectable scan and single-measurement modes. Programmable first, best, and last target logic provides flexibility when ranging through complex terrain or vegetation, while the equivalent horizontal range (EHR) output helps account for angle when evaluating a target.

Applied Ballistics in the Leica Geovid Max 10×42 LRF Binoculars

Applied Ballistics is integrated directly into the Leica Geovid Max 10×42, providing real-time ballistic solutions including equivalent horizontal range, elevation and windage corrections, holdover information, and WEZ (Weapon Employment Zone) data. The system supports customized ballistic profiles and connects to the Leica Ballistics app through Bluetooth. Users can also connect compatible Kestrel and Calypso devices for wind inputs, while GPS target marking through onX, BaseMap, and Google Maps helps connect ranging data with navigation and location information.

The fully customizable 640×480 active-matrix microLED display lets users prioritize the information they need, from distance and ballistic data to environmental conditions and wind. Selectable circle, square, and cross reticle shapes provide additional display flexibility. The Leica Geovid Max 10×42 also supports connectivity with compatible Garmin and Apple watches, Kestrel HUD, and other devices within Leica’s open ecosystem.

With its combination of premium 10×42 optics, advanced laser ranging, integrated Applied Ballistics, customizable HUD, and connected data capabilities, the Leica Geovid Max 10×42 is built for hunters and long-range shooters who want a complete, data-driven optical system.
