Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System delivers excellent clarity and performance across the magnification range. Independent side image focus and eyepiece diopter controls allow the target image and reticle to be adjusted separately, helping produce a sharp, comfortable sight picture while reducing eye strain during extended observation.
A folded light-path design and lightweight magnesium construction allow the MX-6HD to maintain a compact 13.9-inch overall length while delivering powerful 8-48x magnification. The Leupold MX-6HD 8-48x60mm Tremor 4 FDE Spotting Scope’s FFP Tremor 4 reticle gives the MX-6HD capabilities beyond those of a traditional spotting scope. Because the reticle is positioned in the first focal plane, its subtensions remain proportional to the observed target as magnification changes.
This provides spotters with a consistent reference for measuring and communicating information while transitioning between lower-power observation and high-magnification target identification.

The MX-6HD’s Professional-Grade Optical System is built around an 8-48x magnification range, giving users flexibility across a variety of observation distances. At 8x, the optic provides a broad viewing area and compatibility with applicable thermal and night vision equipment. Increasing magnification up to 48x provides the detail and resolution needed for positive target identification and long-range observation. The field of view ranges from 262 feet at 1,000 yards on 8x to 47.1 feet at 1,000 yards on 48x.
