Description
Microtech 121-2OD Ultratech S/E Partial Serrated OTF Knife OD Green – Black
The Microtech 121-2OD Ultratech knife features a drop point blade that has a partially serrated cutting edge with a black finish. It has an OD green anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with a black finished glass breaker, pocket clip, and stainless steel hardware.
The partial serrated blade, typically finished in a dark or black coating, blends a plain edge section for controlled slicing with serrations that excel at cutting fibrous materials such as rope, webbing, or cord, giving the knife versatility for everyday tasks as well as more demanding cutting chores. As an out-the-front (OTF) automatic, the blade travels straight out of the handle via a slide actuator, allowing one-handed deployment and retraction; this mechanism is known for its positive tactile feel and consistent action when properly maintained. The blade’s geometry and finish also help resist corrosion and wear while adding to the knife’s understated tactical appearance.
Additional functional touches, such as a pocket clip configured for convenient carry and a striking pommel at the butt end, underscore a focus on utility without unnecessary ornamentation. Overall, the 121-2OD model is often appreciated for its blend of rugged build quality, everyday utility thanks to the partial serrations, and the thoughtful combination of finishes and ergonomics that make it both a dependable tool and a distinctive piece of precision engineering.
