It uses a multi‑mode head with two selectable modes — High Mode for maximum brightness and Admin Mode for reduced output (about 15 % of high) that significantly extends runtime — allowing you to tailor the output to the task at hand. The PLHv2 head produces about 1350 lumens of output with roughly 54,000 candela of throw, striking a strong balance of flood and distance illumination suitable for handheld use. Runtime in High Mode with the included 18350 battery is about 35 minutes, while Admin Mode offers much longer runtime at reduced output.
The light is made and assembled in the USA with a 6061 series aluminum body and Mil‑Spec hard‑anodized finish for durability and rugged performance. Drivers are fully potted and tested to provide reliable performance and resistance to impact. The ultra‑clear BOROFLOAT® lens allows very high light transmittance for efficient output delivery. It also offers dual‑fuel capability when paired with compatible bodies (though 18350 bodies do not support CR123 cells), giving some flexibility in power options.
