Description
Primary Arms Basic Scope Mount
This Primary Arms basic scope mount works with M4, AR – 15, and similar flat top 1913 Picatinny mounting platforms. Fits scopes with 30 mm tubes, or use the included metal 1 inch adapter shims to mount a 1 inch tube scope. Aluminum construction, durable matte black anodized finish. This tough scope mount features a 1 year warranty.
To make sure that the Primary Arms Basic Scope mount nut is fully tightened, turn the nut clockwise until resistance is encountered. After that, turn another 1/2 turn. If a torque wrench is being used, we recommend no more than 35 to 40 in lbs.
Designed to hold a scope securely in place, it provides a reliable interface between the firearm and the optic without a lot of extra features or complexity. Its simple design is ideal for shooters who want a functional mount that gets the job done at an affordable price point.
Typically constructed from durable aluminum with a matte black finish, the Primary Arms Basic Scope Mount mount offers solid strength and corrosion resistance, helping protect both the scope and the rail under repeated use. The rings or bases (depending on the specific version) are machined with consistent tolerances to ensure the optic stays aligned and maintains zero even after handling and recoil. Hardware such as screws and cross bolts are included for installation, and the mount usually comes in standard heights to fit a range of common rifle configurations and eye-relief needs.
Installation is straightforward: the mount clamps to the rifle’s rail and then secures the scope at the desired position. Because it’s a basic design, it’s often lighter and less bulky than some tactical-grade mounts, making it a good match for hunting rifles, casual range setups, or plinking rigs where extreme precision mounting isn’t as critical. The simplicity also means fewer adjustments and less maintenance over time.
