Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 Thermal Laser Rangefinding Binoculars

The Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 Thermal Laser Rangefinding Binoculars combine high-resolution thermal imaging, 4K digital imaging, long-range observation, and an integrated laser rangefinder into one premium binocular-style platform. Built around a 1280×1024 thermal sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch, the Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 Thermal Laser Rangefinding Binoculars delivers highly detailed thermal imagery while maintaining the familiar ergonomics of traditional binoculars.

A 50mm F/1.0 thermal objective lens works with the high-resolution thermal sensor to provide a listed thermal detection range of up to 2,300 meters (approximately 2,516 yards). The Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 Thermal Laser Rangefinding Binoculars offers 2-24x thermal magnification, allowing users to select a wider field of view for scanning or increase magnification when more detail is required.

In addition to thermal imaging, the Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 Thermal Laser Rangefinding Binoculars incorporates a 4K CMOS digital sensor with a 50mm F/1.8 objective lens. The digital channel provides a separate viewing mode with 6.5-26x magnification, giving users additional flexibility when observing in suitable lighting conditions.

An integrated 905 nm laser rangefinder provides distance measurements out to 1,500 meters, with a manufacturer-rated accuracy of ±1 meter. Combined with Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in recording, 64GB internal storage, and compatibility with Pulsar Stream Vision 2 and Stream Vision Ballistics, the Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 Thermal Laser Rangefinding Binoculars is designed as a comprehensive long-range observation system.

High-Resolution 1280×1024 Thermal Imaging

At the heart of the Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 Thermal Laser Rangefinding Binoculars is a 1280×1024 uncooled microbolometric thermal sensor with a 12 µm pixel pitch.

The high-resolution thermal sensor is designed to provide detailed thermal imagery and help users distinguish fine differences between thermal signatures. With a sensor NETD of less than 35 mK and system NETD of less than 20 mK, the Symbion is designed to maintain detailed thermal imagery across changing environmental conditions.

The 50 Hz frame rate provides smooth image updates for observing moving subjects.

50mm F/1.0 Thermal Objective Lens

The thermal imaging channel uses a 50mm F/1.0 objective lens designed to maximize thermal performance while providing a useful field of view for long-range observation.

Thermal specifications include:

  • Magnification: 2-24x
  • Field of view: 17.5°
  • Field of view at 100m: 30.7m
  • Detection range: up to 2,300m
  • Diopter adjustment: -5 to +5 D
  • Eye relief: 13mm

The variable magnification allows users to scan larger areas at lower magnification and increase magnification when additional detail is required.

4K Digital Imaging Channel

The Symbion LRF DXT50 is more than a thermal monocular. It also includes a dedicated 3840×2160 4K CMOS digital sensor and a 50mm F/1.8 digital objective lens.

The digital channel provides:

  • 3840 x 2160 sensor resolution
  • 50mm F/1.8 objective lens
  • 6.5-26x magnification
  • 5.8° field of view
  • 10.2m field of view at 100m

This dual-channel design gives users additional flexibility by combining thermal observation with high-resolution digital imaging.

Integrated 1,500-Meter Laser Rangefinder

The built-in 905 nm laser rangefinder allows users to measure distance without carrying a separate rangefinding device.

Rangefinder specifications include:

  • Maximum measuring range: 1,500m
  • Measurement accuracy: ±1m
  • Wavelength: 905nm
  • Laser safety class: Class 1
  • Standard: IEC 60825-1:2014

The integrated rangefinder makes it easier to obtain distance information while maintaining the binocular-style viewing position.

1920×1080 High-Resolution Display

The Symbion LRF DXT50 uses a 1920×1080 MicroLED (AMOLED) display to present the thermal and digital imagery.

The high-resolution display complements the 1280×1024 thermal sensor and 4K digital imaging channel, helping users take advantage of the system’s detailed image output.

Built-In Recording & 64GB Storage

The Symbion LRF DXT50 includes built-in photo and video recording, allowing users to capture observations directly from the device.

Recording specifications include:

  • Internal memory: 64GB
  • Video/photo resolution: 1440 x 1080
  • Video format: .mp4
  • Photo format: .jpg

Wi-Fi & Pulsar Mobile Applications

Integrated Wi-Fi provides wireless connectivity with compatible mobile devices.

The Symbion LRF DXT50 supports:

  • IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ac
  • WPA security
  • 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies
  • Pulsar Stream Vision 2
  • Pulsar Stream Vision Ballistics

These applications provide additional tools for managing the device, viewing recorded media, and accessing supported ballistic functionality.

Ergonomic Binocular-Style Design

Unlike traditional thermal scopes, the Symbion LRF DXT50 is designed around a binocular-style housing.

The controls are positioned for easy access, with eight buttons allowing users to operate key functions without significantly changing their grip.

The magnesium-alloy housing provides a balance of durability and weight, with the complete unit weighing approximately 1 kg (2.2 lbs.) including batteries.

Rugged IP67 Construction

The Symbion LRF DXT50 is built for demanding outdoor environments.

Its IP67 waterproof rating provides protection against dust and water exposure, while the listed operating temperature range of -25°C to +50°C (-13°F to +122°F) allows operation in a wide range of conditions.

The body is constructed from magnesium alloy for a combination of strength and reduced weight.

Battery & Power

The Pulsar Symbion LRF DXT50 uses two APS 5 rechargeable Li-ion batteries.

Power specifications include:

  • Battery: 2 x APS 5
  • Battery capacity: 4900mAh
  • Operating time: Up to 8 hours at 22°C
  • External power: 5V/9V via USB Type-C
  • Output voltage: 3.7V

Actual battery life can vary based on temperature, display settings, recording, Wi-Fi use, rangefinder operation, and other functions.

Mounting & Tripod Compatibility
