Description
RIX Storm S6R V2 Thermal Imaging Riflescope with Laser Rangefinder & Ballistic Calculator
The RIX STORM S6R V2 Thermal Riflescope combines high-resolution thermal imaging, long-range laser ranging, and onboard ballistic calculation in a compact, lightweight platform designed for serious hunting applications.
Built around a 640 × 512 12μm thermal sensor, the RIX STORM S6R V2 Thermal Riflescope delivers enhanced image detail and a wider field of view for improved detection and target recognition. Its 2.5× base magnification provides an excellent balance between situational awareness and long-range capability, while digital magnification allows hunters to take advantage of the additional detail provided by the 640-resolution sensor.
An integrated 2,187-yard laser rangefinder (LRF) works alongside onboard ballistic calculation to provide ranging and trajectory information directly through the scope, helping reduce guesswork and support more confident shot placement.
High-Resolution 640 × 512 Thermal Imaging
The RIX STORM S6R V2 Thermal Riflescope features a 640 × 512, 12μm thermal detector, providing substantially more image detail than lower-resolution thermal sensors. The higher-resolution sensor is particularly beneficial when scanning large areas or using digital magnification, helping maintain greater target detail as magnification increases. RIX specifically positions its 640-resolution STORM models as the high-performance option for users seeking a wider field of view and greater image detail. Advanced AI image processing further enhances image clarity and target definition in challenging conditions, including darkness, rain, fog, and low-contrast environments.
2,187-Yard LRF & Ballistic Calculation
The RIX STORM S6R V2 Thermal Riflescope’s integrated laser rangefinder provides long-range distance measurement directly through the optic, eliminating the need to switch between the riflescope and a separate handheld rangefinder. Combined with onboard ballistic calculation, the S6R V2 can provide trajectory information and aiming guidance through the scope, helping the shooter make more informed corrections at extended distances.
2.5× Base Magnification & Wider Field of View
The RIX STORM S6R V2 Thermal Riflescope starts at 2.5× base magnification, providing a wider field of view that is particularly useful when scanning, tracking moving animals, and hunting at closer distances. The advantage of the 640 × 512 sensor becomes increasingly apparent as digital magnification is applied, allowing the S6R V2 to retain greater image detail than lower-resolution thermal systems. RIX highlights this combination of 2× base magnification and the 640 sensor as a key advantage of the S6R platform.
Precise 0.43 MOA Zeroing
The STORM S6R V2 features a refined reticle designed to cover less of the target and provide a cleaner aiming picture. Fine 0.43 MOA adjustment increments provide precise control when zeroing the optic and making point-of-impact corrections.
0.49-Inch Full HD OLED Display
An upgraded 0.49-inch 1920 × 1080 OLED display provides enhanced detail, contrast, and color reproduction. A larger exit pupil, extended eye relief, and optimized viewing design provide a comfortable sight picture while keeping the reticle clear and easy to see.
Improved Rifle-Ready Design
The RIX STORM S6R V2 Thermal Riflescope features an extended and elevated mounting rail designed to provide greater flexibility when positioning the optic, particularly on bolt-action hunting rifles. Compared with the original STORM V1, the rail is approximately 0.5 inches higher and 1 inch longer. The LRF module has also been repositioned to help reduce interference during bolt cycling and provide a more comfortable shooting setup. An ergonomic four-way control layout and simplified interface allow quick operation in darkness or while wearing gloves.
