The Steiner Commander 7×50 binoculars is an individual focus marine binocular with a wide angle view of 420′ at 1000 yards. It has high-definition lenses with nano-protection coatings on the outer lens surfaces. Nitrogen pressure filling and O-ring seals make it fog- and waterproof down to 10m. Winged eyecups protect from side light and improve contrast, but can be folded down for eyeglass wearers. The Commander 7×50 body uses an open bridge design to facilitate one-handed operation.
