Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 Light
The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 Light is a weapon mounted light with 350 lumens featuring a dedicated fixed mount for Picatinny rails. The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 Light uses either a remote switch with momentary/constant on operation or a standard push button tail switch, and can run on either a lithium battery or an easy to find alkaline battery.

I needed a light for a semi auto shotgun that had a sling mount on the left in front of the hand guard. Since the sling and mount would block the light if it was mounted on the left side of the hand guard (right handed shooter, I use my left for support), i needed to mount the light on the right side. The right side doesn’t block the light, no sling, or mount on the right side, but activating a light with my left support hand without a pressure pad didn’t work for me. I wanted a quality light, no sunlight, paint burning scorchingly bright mile out illumination is necessary on a shotgun, for me.
This Streamlight had good candela and lumens specs, bright enough at shotgun use distances, a remote momentary and constant on pressure pad, compact size, great price point, quality, reputation and fit my needs perfectly. My support hand can easily reach the pressure pad while holding the shotgun comfortably. Kenzie Optics had it in stock, good price and fast shipping. If one’s needs and shotgun setup are similar to mine, this Streamlight can’t be beat.
