Description
Benchmade 185T SOCP Trainer Fixed Blade Knife – Black / Red
The Benchmade 185T SOCP Trainer Fixed Blade Knife is a purpose-built training tool designed to replicate the handling characteristics of the Benchmade SOCP fixed blade knife without a sharpened cutting edge. Developed in collaboration with tactical instructor Greg Thompson, the SOCP Trainer provides a practical option for military personnel, law enforcement professionals, and individuals participating in structured knife-handling and defensive training programs.
Inspired by the next-generation Benchmade 185 SOCP Fixed Blade Knife, the 185T Trainer maintains the recognizable SOCP profile while incorporating a blunt, non-sharpened blade for controlled training exercises. Its training-specific design allows users to become familiar with the size, balance, grip, and handling characteristics of the corresponding live-blade model.
The distinctive black and red color combination helps visually distinguish the Benchmade 185T Trainer from sharpened knives. The contrasting red accents provide quick identification during organized training sessions, helping instructors and participants differentiate training equipment from live blades.
Designed with input from the SOCP community, the Benchmade 185T SOCP Trainer features a compact, lightweight profile intended to provide realistic handling characteristics. Its ergonomic handle incorporates the signature SOCP finger-ring design, offering a secure gripping point and familiar feel for users training with the SOCP platform.
The fixed blade construction eliminates folding mechanisms and allows the trainer to maintain a consistent configuration throughout repeated handling exercises. Its durable design makes it suitable for regular use in supervised training environments, equipment familiarization sessions, and controlled practice.
The Benchmade 185T SOCP Trainer is an excellent companion to the corresponding live-blade SOCP knife, offering a dedicated training alternative for individuals and organizations seeking to develop familiarity with the SOCP platform.
Built with Benchmade’s commitment to precision engineering and functional design, the Benchmade 185T SOCP Trainer Fixed Blade Knife combines recognizable styling, practical training features, and durable construction in a specialized training tool.
