The Forward Controls Design RMR Plate for Glock 43X/48 is the latest member of the OPF line.  G43x and G48 MOS slides are designed for direct mounting of the Shield RMSc sight.  Trijicon’s RMR is longer and wider, and requires an adapter plate which also necessarily raises the mounting surface in order to mount an RMR.

With the Forward Controls Design RMR Plate for Glock 43X/48, FCD didn’t merely raise the mounting surface to provide a platform for the RMR.  As RMR is longer than the G43X/48 MOS cut, the sight overhangs on the slide.  We provide not only lugs, but also a front recoil fence that together with the recoil lugs, holds the sight immobile before the sight to plate screws are installed and torqued to specified value of 12 to 135in/lb.

OPF-G43X/48 ships with 2 plate to slide screws (M4-0.7mmx9mm), 4 sight to plate screws (T15 6-32×3/8 ), and a packet of VC-3.

OPF-G43X/48, RMR has a huge lightening cut, but it’s invisible when the plate is installed and in use. There’s a vast (relatively speaking) area under the plate that doesn’t do anything except taking up weight, so it’s removed.

NOTE: OPF-G43X/48, RMR is designed for and only compatible with GLOCK G43x and G48, and Trijicon’s RMR, SRO, RMR HD and RCR.  It will not work with other GLOCK models.
