Description
RIX Storm S3R V2 Thermal Imaging Riflescope with Laser Rangefinder & Ballistic Calculator
The RIX STORM S3R V2 Thermal Riflescope combines high-sensitivity thermal imaging, long-range laser ranging, and onboard ballistic calculation in a compact, lightweight platform built for demanding hunting conditions.
Featuring a 384 × 288 12μm thermal sensor with NETD <15mK sensitivity, the RIX STORM S3R V2 Thermal Riflescope is designed to reveal subtle temperature differences and provide enhanced detail in low-contrast environments. Advanced AI image algorithms help produce clearer, smoother thermal imagery for improved target recognition in darkness, fog, rain, and other challenging conditions.
An integrated 2,187-yard laser rangefinder (LRF) works alongside the onboard ballistic calculator to provide ranging and trajectory information directly through the scope, helping reduce guesswork when making longer-range shots.
High-Sensitivity <15mK Thermal Imaging
At the heart of the STORM S3R V2 is a highly sensitive NETD <15mK thermal detector capable of distinguishing very small temperature differences. Combined with RIX’s AI image algorithms, the system enhances thermal detail and target definition in low-contrast environments. This provides hunters with a clearer view when conditions become difficult, including darkness, rain, fog, and rapidly moving targets.
2,187-Yard LRF & Ballistic Calculation
The RIX STORM S3R V2 Thermal Riflescope’s integrated laser rangefinder provides ranging capability out to 2,187 yards, eliminating the need to switch between the riflescope and a separate handheld rangefinder. Optimized rain and fog algorithms are designed to improve ranging reliability in challenging weather conditions. Once range information is obtained, the onboard ballistic calculator can provide trajectory and aiming guidance directly through the scope.
Precise 0.26 MOA Zeroing
The STORM S3R V2 uses a refined reticle designed to cover less of the target for a less obstructed aiming picture. Fine 0.26 MOA adjustment increments provide precise control when zeroing the optic and making point-of-impact corrections.
0.49-Inch Full HD OLED Display
An upgraded 0.49-inch 1920 × 1080 OLED display provides enhanced image detail, contrast, and color reproduction. The larger exit pupil, extended eye relief, and optimized viewing design are intended to provide a comfortable sight picture while maintaining a clear, distortion-free reticle.
Improved Rifle-Ready Design
Compared with the original STORM V1, the STORM V2 features a mounting rail approximately 0.5 inches higher and 1 inch longer, providing additional flexibility when positioning the optic on a rifle. The LRF module has also been repositioned to reduce potential interference with bolt operation, making the S3R V2 particularly well suited to bolt-action hunting rifles.
