In the Field with Aimpoint: Keith’s Red Stag Experience
Earlier this fall, Kenzie’s Optics CEO Keith Smith traveled to Sweden to visit Aimpoint, the biggest & most world-renowned manufacturer of red dot sights trusted by hunters, sport shooters, and military forces worldwide. The visit highlighted Aimpoint’s commitment to precision engineering and the strong partnership between the two companies.

Inside Aimpoint’s State-of-the-Art Facility in Malmö
Keith began his trip with an exclusive tour of Aimpoint’s manufacturing facility in Malmö, where every sight is designed, assembled, and tested to the highest of standards. The visit offered a behind-the-scenes look at Aimpoint’s diligent production process while underscoring why the brand has earned its reputation for extreme rugged reliability and innovation.
The Malmö facility reflects Sweden’s long-standing tradition of craftsmanship and engineering excellence, where they’ve designed some of the most recognizable red dot sights of all time, such as the Patrol Rifle Optic, Micro T2, and the ACRO series. Seeing firsthand how Aimpoint maintains such tight quality control reinforced the shared values and a long standing partnership that connects Aimpoint and Kenzie’s Optics.

Strengthening a Global Partnership
Beyond the factory floor, the visit served as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Kenzie’s Optics and Aimpoint. Both companies are dedicated to providing customers with the best optics technology available, and this trip reaffirmed their mutual commitment to innovation, customer service, and future collaborations.
Keith’s time with the Aimpoint leadership team fostered valuable discussions about future growth, upcoming product initiatives, and continued support for the U.S. optics market.

A Swedish Red Stag Adventure
After a few days at the Malmö facility, Keith joined Aimpoint and its partners for a memorable red stag hunt in Borringecloster, a historic estate in southern Sweden known for its beautiful landscape and rich hunting traditions. The hunt was not only a test of world class optics in the field, but also a celebration of global community and shared passion for the outdoors.
Reflecting on the experience, Keith noted how the trip highlighted the link between Aimpoint’s precision optics and actual real world performance. It was a fitting end to a visit that blended technology, tradition, and teamwork.
